Grant Awarded to Eating Disorders Coalition of Tennessee
by The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee
Nashville, Tennessee – The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee has distributed more than $1 million in grants to 203 nonprofit organizations as part of The Foundation’s annual grant making process.
“The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee connects generosity with need by supporting our region’s hard-working nonprofit organizations,” said Ellen Lehman, president. “The Foundation believes that these programs and congratulates the organizations on their efforts to enhance the quality of life in our community.”
Ø The Eating Disorders Coalition of Tennessee received a $3750 grant to host a screening of a feature documentary on the prevalence of eating disorders in the gay community.

Announces New Board of Directors
(NASHVILLE, TN) August 22, 2007—Eating Disorders Coalition of Tennessee proudly announces its 2007-2008 Board of Directors. New members include: Rhonda Scarlata, LCSW; Jenni Schaefer, author and national speaker; Irv Rubenstein, PhD, founder and president of S.T.E.P.S. Inc.; Steve “Topper” Mathews, investment advisor with UBS Financial Services.
Current Board members include: Kathy Gaston, President; Nancy Beveridge, MD, President-Elect; Steve Holzapfel, Treasurer; Kendra Gray, PhD, Secretary; Dick Horton, Member at Large; Reba Sloan, MPH, LRD, Past President; Mary Lee Bartlett; Elliott Moore, MSW; Cindi Dingler, LCSW; Sharon Dixon Gentry; and Randy Horick.
Eating Disorders Coalition of Tennessee is a resource for individuals, families, and communities on eating disorders, with the hope that education will prevent the development of eating disorders and provide those who are impacted by disordered eating with support, information, and assistance in finding effective treatment.
