More Info: The Nashville-area Families Supporting Families support group is operating on a modified schedule for January. The group will not meet Jan. 17, because of the holiday, but will convene Jan. 31 from 6-8 p.m. to hear special speaker Lucy Robbin.
Lucy Robbin is a senior faculty member with the William Glasser institute and a certified drug and alchol counselor. Lucy teaches "choice theory," which is based on the beleif that we choose every aspect of our lives. The approach can help us learn and appreciate the value of relationship-building and gives us the first step in learning the tools that can change every relationship in our life.
The normal meeting cycle will resume in February with a Feb. 7 meeting from 7-8 p.m.

More Info: Dr. Johnston is the author of Eating in the Light of the Moon: How Women Can Transform Their Relationships with Food Through Myth, Metaphor, and Storytelling. The program lasts from 6-7:30 p.m. and will be followed by refreshments and a meet-and-greet with Dr. Johnston from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Presented by Focus Healthcare of Tennessee and Moonpointe: A Focus Center for Eating Disorders, the event is free and open to the public.
