Evening of Song & Story

Why Songs? Why Stories?

An eating disorder gains its power from silence and secrecy.
Since 2004, the Eating Disorders Coalition of Tennessee has gathered every year with its closest friends to celebrate those in recovery and encourage those in the pursuit of recovery. An Evening of Song & Story is a time for breaking the silence imposed by eating disorders. Those who suffer from this devastating mental illness often withdraw from their friends, family and normal activities. But those who voice their struggle begin to fight back; they initiate the process of recovery and help return music to a life once deafened by the impacts of an eating disorder.
