The Eating Disorders Coalition of Tennessee Receives $5,000 in Grants to Provide Education and Awareness about Eating Disorders to Tennesseans

The Eating Disorders Coalition of Tennessee (EDCT) has received two grants totaling $5,000 to support education and awareness throughout middle Tennessee. These grants were received from the Junior League of Nashville Home Board and the Nashville Predators Foundation. The funding will be divided between two programs of the EDCT: Youth Education and Support (YES!), in which students are trained them to work with school counselors to implement eating disorder awareness and positive body image programming in their individual schools, and a new educational literature campaign designed to debunk stereotypes about eating disorders.
